Silhouettes and Thumbnails- Who Can It Be Now?

 Hey everyone! 

I have been hard at work on my assignments this week, hence the radio silence. But, I'm excited to show you all my work for this week's challenge- conveying character redesigns with Silhouettes and Thumbnails! 

Both Silhouettes and Thumbnails are extremely important in the concept art world, and what better way to tackle this new and exciting concept than to start with one of my favorite games of all time... Sonic CD?

Sonic CD has a perfectly iconic art style, which I wanted to capture with this art assignment. I worked really hard to pay homage to my favorite game, and I really hope it shows! 

Here are the Silhouettes I made for this project! Can you guess who they are?

In case you might not know, I've broken down who's who below:

• A- Sonic
• B- Amy and Chao
• C- Rouge the Bat
• D- Eggman
• E- Metal Sonic
• F- Knuckles
• G- Silver
• H- Vector

Where's Tails? Good question! Since I mostly draw canine characters, I opted to leave him out, to give myself more of a challenge! I wanted to draw characters I usually didn't draw, so I hope you like their magical redesigns! 

I'm really happy with how these turned out! I had a lot of fun working on these designs and drawing the characters in my own style! I hope you enjoyed looking at them, too!
